Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

Ronan (b. 1971) and Erwan Bouroullec (b. 1976) are French designers who have been working together since the 1990s. Their collaboration brings together their individual perspectives and a shared attention to detail, refining their ideas and finding the right balance in each design. They presented their Disintegrated Kitchen at the Salon du Meuble in Paris in 1997, where Giulio Cappellini spotted it and commissioned them to develop products. Since 2004, they’ve partnered with Magis on major collections like Striped and Steelwood, and have designed for top brands such as Vitra, Kartell, and Hay. Their work also includes experimental projects at Galerie kreo and occasional architectural commissions. They have received awards such as Designers of the Year (2002) and the Compasso d’Oro (2011), and their designs have been widely exhibited and featured in several monographs.
