Platner Side Table
The Platner Side Table is the most intimate piece in Warren Platner's 1966 collection — small enough to tuck beside a chair or sofa, precise enough to hold its own as a sculptural object in a room. Like the coffee and dining tables it accompanies, it is built from curved steel rods welded by hand to circular frames, a construction that makes structure and ornament one and the same thing. It sits at a natural reach from a lounge chair or the end of a sofa — the right height for a drink, a book, or a lamp.

Product Description
In 1966, the Platner Collection captured the “decorative, gentle, graceful” shapes that were beginning to infiltrate the modern vocabulary. The iconic side table is created by welding curved steel rods to circular frames, simultaneously serving as structure and ornament.
