Fifty Years of Experimentation

Founded in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza in Motta di Livenza — the company's name is Latin for "more" — Magis built its identity as a "laboratory of ideas," treating experimentation and even failure as part of the design process. That approach produced collaborations with Enzo Mari, Philippe Starck, Jasper Morrison, and the Bouroullec brothers, and icons including the Bombo stool and Chair_One. Now led by Alberto Perazza, Magis's collections are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.

Konstantin Grcic designed Bishop, a 2026 chair built from laser-cut, folded steel — part of Magis’s 50th anniversary presentation, “Rooted in the Future.”
