From Murano Glass to Industrial Experiment

Founded in 1981 on the island of Murano, Foscarini began in Venetian glassmaking before Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato took ownership in 1988 and pushed the brand toward broader material experimentation. Since relocating to Marcon in 1994, Foscarini has worked with independent designers to treat light as an emotional and architectural presence rather than a fixture alone — a philosophy that produced icons like Marc Sadler's Twiggy, now in its 20th year. Foscarini's collections are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.
