From Sheet Metal Shop to Outdoor Kitchen Pioneer

Founded in 1988 when Mitchell Slater purchased a struggling sheet metal shop, Danver pivoted from copier stands toward kitchen cabinetry after early prototypes drew strong interest at home shows. By 1999, the company showed a full kitchen in stainless steel, and around 2005 moved to fully solid stainless steel construction for outdoor use — helping shift the industry away from traditional stone and stucco outdoor kitchens. In 2026, Danver introduced Ascento, designed by Daniel Germani. Danver's cabinetry is available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.
