Fifty Years of Architectural Bathrooms

Founded in 1973 by architect brothers Emanuele and Giampaolo Benedini, Agape grew from a small workshop on the Po and Mincio rivers near Mantova into one of Italy's defining names in bathroom design. The brand has never treated the bathroom as a utility room, but as a space worth the same architectural attention as any other part of the home. Over five decades, Agape has collaborated with architects and designers including Patricia Urquiola, Jean Nouvel, Konstantin Grcic, and Enzo Mari, producing every piece at its LEED-certified Mantova headquarters.

Designer, Agape

Patricia Urquiola has designed some of Agape’s most recognized pieces, including the Pear and Vieques collections and the sculptural Cenote washbasins and bathtub. Her work for the brand pairs soft, organic geometry with the technical precision Agape is known for.
