A steep hillside became the starting point for a home shaped around privacy, light and nature. Positioned below street level, the residence creates space for a sheltered courtyard and terraced gardens while opening toward the ravine. Dark cedar cladding and contrasting white surfaces define the exterior, framing views of greenery and giving the architecture a quiet presence within the landscape.

Inside, an angular hemlock ceiling brings warmth and movement to the connected living spaces. Expansive glazing draws daylight deep into the home, keeping the surrounding trees in view throughout the day. Paola Lenti seating introduces softness to the architectural lines, while Bocci lighting above the dining table adds a sculptural focal point. Together, these elements create interiors that feel open, welcoming and considered.

The attention to design extends beyond the main living areas. A Molteni&C kitchen, Porro closets and Blu Bathworks bathrooms bring Livingspace’s collections into the everyday routines of the home. Considered alongside the furnishings and lighting, these spaces reflect a cohesive approach to the whole residence, where practical needs and a shared design sensibility guide each selection.
