A Vancouver Studio, Working in Glass

Founded in 2005 by Omer Arbel and Randy Bishop, Bocci began in a converted barn outside Vancouver with a single cast-glass pendant, model 14. Two decades on, the studio still designs, engineers, and hand-fabricates every piece at its Vancouver factory, with creative outposts in Milan and Berlin. Arbel leads design as Creative Director, numbering each project sequentially to track his evolving ideas across glass, concrete, and metal. Bocci's collections are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.

Omer Arbel has designed every Bocci series since the studio’s founding, working directly with glassblowers, chemists, and engineers to let material behavior — not a fixed plan — shape each piece. His numbering system, from 14 through 87 and beyond, reads as a running record of the studio’s evolving ideas.
