Product Description

The Nelson Bubble Lamps are an assortment of lamps in various spherical silhouettes that emit an even quality of light. The wide shape of the Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant, along with the gently flowing lines of its steel understructure bring a lovely shape and soft light into any interior. This pendant light is available in small, medium, large, and extra-large sizes. George Nelson first designed the series in 1952, when he came across a Swedish hanging lamp that he wanted to acquire for his office.

Timeless and sets the mood
I absolutely love my new HM Saucer Bubble Lamp! With it connected to a dimmer, I can adjust the brightness throughout the day to suit any moment. The light filters beautifully through the white shell, cascading softly around the room and creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful Quality Lamp
We bought the middle size for a room approximately 4 x 5 m, with 2.8 m ceiling height. It is a good size for this room. Ours is about 20 cm from the ceiling.
Although it appears to be fabric, the material is fairly rigid. The quality seems excellent and the design is genuinely beautiful. The proportions are perfect. An affordable classic that is MCM but would fit into many rooms and styles.
The included cable is very long, so this could go into a much taller room.
And improvement would be a mounting bar, with the central threaded hole, that has a hole and slot at one end would be an advantage as the bar could be quickly placed onto screws partly installed on the mounting box. As it is, one needs to have the lamp supported while inserting the two screws through the flat bar and into the mounting box. That part can also be purchased at a hardware store.
