Verner Panton Furniture
Verner Panton was a Danish designer and architect who redefined modern interiors through his bold, colourful, and experimental approach to design. Early in his career, he worked in Arne Jacobsen’s architectural office, but soon developed a distinctive voice that challenged the conventions of “classic” Danish design in favour of more playful and expressive environments.
Across furniture, lighting, and interior projects, Panton explored how colour, form, and light interact to shape spatial experience. His iconic designs, including the Panton Chair developed with Vitra and the Panthella lamp, reflect his belief in total design—where objects and architecture merge into immersive environments. From landmark interiors like the Der Spiegel publishing house to sculptural lighting installations, his work consistently pushed boundaries, creating bold, unified spaces that remain influential today.
