Durability and Sustainable Practices Are Key To RODA's Outdoor Furniture Design

As we prepare our outdoor spaces for the warm summer days ahead, one Italian outdoor furniture brand stands out for its timeless elegance and effortless integration with nature.

RODA has long been investing in a path of sustainable processes which form an integral part of their business strategy. A key protagonist in RODA’s latest collection is MAMBA, a collection of upholstered sofas characterized by deep comfort and original design. A striking seating system whose broad assortment of linear and pentagonal modules can be fitted with short and long backrests, it can be arranged in a variety of configurations to suit any space or function.

The company focuses on the use of durable, recycled & recyclable, no-toxic, non-allergenic and certified components in the manufacture of their products, all of which are designed with longevity and timeless style in mind.

Straps, fabrics and cording are regenerated using recycled materials through efficient and environmentally friendly processes that reduce the amount of water and chemicals used.

As is the case with RODA’s Levante collection (pictured below), winner of the 2021 GOOD DESIGN® Award, many of RODA’s collections feature FSC® certified teak wood, a designation which ensures the wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests. One of the most attractive qualities of Teak is that it ages well over time, making this collection a truly timeless design.

NORMA is new outdoor kitchen designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. An innovative new experience in the world of cooking, the unit’s independent structure makes it adaptable to outdoor spaces both large and small.

It consists of two parts – a gas-fuelled cooking module featuring a central double-crown burner and four lateral burners, and a sink module. An optional peninsula may be added as a third element, which can serve as an additional preparation area or small dining table. The space beneath the cooktop consists of larch-wood shelves and a practical utensil rack.
