Job Description

Livingspace is looking for passionate and talented kitchen designer who will take on the role of Kitchen design and Sales associate to support our Italian made kitchens from Arclinea and Dada and grow the company services and products. This role is to design, create and deliver kitchen proposals for both residential and commercial clients from concept through to final installation. This role requires proficiency in Auto Cad and/or Vectorworks as well as Sketchup.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist guests and provide creative solutions and complete designs to fulfill all guests needs
  • Interact with clients to know their needs, requirements, and budgetary limits
  • Present products to customers suitable to attain their objectives
  • Establish detailed project budget working with customer and PBM
  • Develop and build strong relationships with designers, home builders and architects to grow profitable sales
  • Assist showroom customers in assessing their needs, directing their product selections, and closing the sales
  • Make sales calls and follow-up contact with showroom visitors
  • Process orders and maintain constant communication with customers regarding purchases, order status and delivery
  • Will be required to work one or two Saturdays a month

Requirements

  • Prior Interior Design experience and education required
  • 3+ years experience in Kitchen Design and sales
  • 3+ years experience in retail and customer service an asset
  • Computer skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and/or Vectorworks
  • Functional knowledge of common MAC computer software
  • Experience with European Millwork an asset
  • Experience producing millwork drawings
  • Extensive experience working with high end and luxury driven clients
  • Ability to multi-task many different projects and tasks
  • Preference will be given to those with a valid drivers license
  • Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are considered an asset for this opportunity

Livingspace is seeking a passionate and talented interiors designer who will take on the role of Furniture Designer and Sales Associates to support our Vancouver Retail Showroom and grow the company services and products. This role is to design, create and deliver furniture proposals for residential clients from concept through to final installation. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD as well as SketchUp.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for entire customer shopping experience at Livingspace from the time a customer enters the store to the delivery of merchandise
  • Greet and welcome customers to the store in a professional, sophisticated and friendly manner
  • Determine and understand customer needs by asking open ended questions
  • Explain product features and benefits, while addressing customer needs
  • Suggest complimentary items while utilizing sales skills to increase sales
  • Create Estimates and invoices, follow through on special orders and client requests
  • Make sales calls and follow up contact with showroom visitors
  • Promote in-home interior design consultations where appropriate
  • Will be required to work Saturdays

Requirements

Experienced Delivery and Furniture Installer

Job Description

Livingspace is seeking an experienced furniture delivery and installer who is well-mannered and can work in an organized team environment. A normal day’s work involves loading a truck or sprinter van in preparation for daily deliveries, multiple deliveries throughout the day, bringing items from local warehouse to showroom and following up on client service calls.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Removing packaging, assembling and placing furniture in the clients desired location
  • Maneuvering through elevators, stairs/stairwells and lobbies
  • Delivering and assembling heavy and fragile items
  • Occasional delivery trips out of town; Whistler, Vancouver Island, Interior BC
  • Working with claims department to document damage
  • Following up on client service calls.
  • Assist with occasional movement of furniture in local showroom

Requirements

  • Previous Delivery and Assembly experience
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Experience driving and loading a truck
  • Customer service experience
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs multiple times throughout the day
  • Mobile phone
