Four Generations, One Standard

Founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann in Herzebrock, near Gütersloh, Miele began with 11 employees and four lathes, building cream separators before moving into washing machines and household appliances. The founders' guiding principle, "Immer Besser" — Always Better — has carried the company through four generations of continuous family ownership. At IFA 2026, Miele introduced AI powered appliances including the G8 Diamond dishwasher and CulinaryCoach, aimed at what the brand calls the end of housework. Miele's appliances are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.

Every Miele appliance is developed and tested at the company’s own German facilities, combining mechanical engineering with the brand’s founding commitment to durability. At IFA 2026, that approach extended into AI, with the G8 Diamond dishwasher’s AutoVision camera system automatically detecting load type and adjusting wash cycles.
