Minimalism as Addition, Not Subtraction

Founded in 1992 by Bruno Fattorini in Mariano Comense, MDF Italia built its reputation on early pieces like the Minima and Random bookcases and the Tense table — interpreting minimalism "more as addition than subtraction" and introducing aluminum into domestic spaces well ahead of its time. The company now works with an international roster of designers including Jean Nouvel, Jean Marie Massaud, and Snøhetta, pursuing formal simplicity and volumetric lightness. MDF Italia's collections are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.
