From Parasol Canes to French Design Icon

Founded in 1860 by Antoine Roset, a waiter turned entrepreneur who began by making parasol canes near Pont d'Ain, the company evolved through chair components into full furniture production, then pivoted from institutional contract work to the domestic market in the 1970s. That decade produced Togo, Michel Ducaroy's 1973 sofa, still one of the most recognized silhouettes in furniture design. Now working with over 70 designers worldwide, Ligne Roset's collections are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.
