From West Africa to a New Chapter

Founded around 1960 by Danish born furniture maker Paul Wallevik, Gloster grew within a decade to become the largest furniture producer in West Africa, supplying component parts and complete pieces to major European indoor furniture brands before turning fully to luxury outdoor furniture and teak. In 2026, Gloster unveiled a new brand identity and two new collections, Ithaca and Amìes, at Salone del Mobile — the start of a broader evolution through 2027. Gloster's collections are available in Western Canada exclusively through Livingspace.

Gabriele and Oscar Buratti designed Amìes, named after the Milanese word for “friends,” for Gloster’s 2026 collection — aluminum frames, tensioned PVC slings, and ceramic topped tables built for shared outdoor living.
