From Carpentry Workshop to Design Icon

Founded in 1870 by Benvenuto Acerbis as a carpentry workshop in Bergamo's Valle Seriana, the company passed through four generations before Lodovico Acerbis brought it into industrial production in the 1960s, partnering with designers including Giotto Stoppino, Vico Magistretti, and Massimo and Lella Vignelli. In 2019, MDF Italia acquired Acerbis to expand its international presence, and in 2020 appointed Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces as creative directors, a duo guiding the brand's ongoing dialogue between its archive and contemporary design.
